Miles White Named to Best CEOs List

Barron's has selected our Chairman and CEO Miles D. White for its "World's Best CEOs" list. This is Mr. White’s ninth consecutive year on the list.

We had a momentous year in 2016, taking deliberate steps to strengthen and shape our business and advance our pipeline. We culminated the year with the $25 billion acquisition of St. Jude Medical, a transaction that helps our long-term vision of being a global leader in every segment where we compete and providing breakthrough inventions to help people lead healthy and full lives.

The addition of St. Jude firmly establishes our Medical Device unit alongside our other leading businesses in diagnostics, nutrition and medicines. Each contributed significantly to the company's success in 2016, while also achieving critical milestones that will drive growth in the years ahead.
